Many people don't do any exercise because they complain of shortage of resources. But there are many things available in the house by which you can do certain exercise and keep yourself fit. Generally the people who are over fifties complain about the fact that they don't feel like going outside and doing any sort of exercise. And because this they face a lot of problems which affect their health. As it is because of the old age the body doesn't remain strong enough to fight against all sorts of diseases thus making our body susceptible to diseases. So there is a very good alternative by which you wouldn't have to go out also and you will keep yourself fit also. Such an indoor activity can be skipping.
Benefits
Skipping is an activity which can be done inside your home and also can be done in your lawn. This helps a lot in keeping fit those people who are old. Skipping is an activity which involves jumping over the rope which you are moving in a circular motion with both of your hands. Now while you jump your body is suspended in the air for some time and then falls in the ground. This motion helps in reducing the fats and also the extra calories which we have gained. It increases the metabolism of our body and increases the flow of oxygen to different parts of the body. So this helps in keeping our body fit and helps in maintaining the strength of our body. Also skipping helps in strengthening your joints. As when you fall after the jump the whole body weight is taken by the joints in your knees and also joints in different other parts of the body. So the joints gain mobility and stability. But it is to be kept in mind that gentle skipping should be done because overstressing will exhaust you and will cause further more problems. Therefore you should first start with little and gradually increase the number of skips if you feel you can take it.
