Muscle fitness
Muscle fitness means to have more powerful muscles that can lift heavier objects or muscles that can work longer before becoming exhausted. As the person increases the muscle fitness, it will noticed that one can carry heavy grocery bags more easily, pick up children without feeling as much strain. The person can be able to carry heavy items longer before becoming too tired to continue. Having stronger muscles also protects joints.
Increases and decrease in muscle
Increase:
1. Muscular strength and stamina
2. Incline body mass
3. Calories burned
4. Bone mineral thickness
5. In general stability and balance
Decrease:
1. Blood sugar level
2. Body fat and psychological stress
3. Body pain and weakness
4. Muscles become stronger through a 3-step process like stress, recovery by rest and repeated stress.
While exercising against resistance, it stress the muscles a little but not to the point of serious damage or injury. While resting, the body rebuilds the muscles and the connective tissues among joints, tendons and ligaments in a way that prepares them for the next instant they will be stressed. When someone stresses the same muscles again, the process is repeated and the muscles gradually become stronger.
Resistance-training program to increase muscle fitness
1. Basic muscle-conditioning exercises like push-ups, leg lifts and other known exercises. Resistance training including surgical tubing or stretchable bands.
2. Weight training with free weights or weight-training tools.
3. Doing housework and yard work, like scrubbing the bathtub, washing walls, tilling the garden or pulling weeds on a normal basis.
4. Swimming, cycling and skiing are activities that advance both muscle strength and aerobic fitness.
When the person begin with the muscle-conditioning activity, try to take 5 to 10 minutes to walk, jog in place or do other activities to warm up and do some stretches. Learn and pay attention to the good form for all exercises. After build muscle strength and endurance, one will notice to do more and more of each exercise. Some people will notice a change in the way their muscles look but others will not observe a change for a long while. A more significant sign of progress is how much recurrence and sets of an exercise one can do and how much easier it feels to do these exercises. This means the muscle fitness has enhanced.
