Sports Nutrition can provide extra edge over the competitor and is an essential component to being a high recital athlete.
1. Stay hydrated as the bodies are made up of 55-65% fluid, it is essential that athletes stay sufficiently hydrated in order to keep away from heat illness and cramping. When practicing in hot, humid weather some of the larger athletes may lose as much as 10-12 cups of fluid. Even being slightly dry can impair performance, so athletes must drink liberal amounts of water and sports drinks all through the day, during and after practice.
2. Consume adequate calories and carbohydrates as food is fuel, athletes require ensuring adequate calorie and carbohydrate eating every day. Complex carbohydrates with whole grain breads, cereals, pastas, fruits and vegetables must make up at least 50% of diets.

Regular meals and snacks:
For the majority athletes, it is roughly impossible to meet the nutrition requirements with less than 3 meals and 2-3 snacks every day. Eating regularly helps to uphold blood glucose and energy throughout the day and during practice. An error athletes often make is thinking that they do not have to eat adequately on non-workout days. These days should instead be treated as re-fueling days and athletes can take benefit of having more time to prepare well-balanced meals. Often looking for that extra perimeter, athletes are often besieged by the market industry with products promising special energy boosting and performance enhancing or muscle gaining results. Frequently these products or diets have little scientific data support them and can in fact be damaging to an athletes presentation. A high routine diet is often the key that athletes need to help them get that additional edge over their competition
Simple tips:
Better-quality athletic skill comes from genetics and training. Though, good food choices and the right timing of meals may improve performance. Follow the proper diet routine to keep fit and for high level of performance.
